Volunteers for data entry
We are in the process of building a direct email database of parishes, churches and dioceses to which we can advertise the web site. The work is easy but slow as we harvest publicly available information from the Internet and enter it manually into our database. The requirements are simply an Internet connection and a computer.
Video editing
We would like to clean up our videos. We need to ensure all added text falls within the minimal display area and do some simple image clean up. We would also like to re-render all videos using Cinelerra's field-to-frame and frame-to-field deinterlacing to make them appear more like film. This became flaringly obvious when we produced the television oriented DVD series.Requirements are a Linux based computer with Cinelerra (both Linux and Cinelerra are freely available) and a fast Internet connection.
